Singapore's Candidate for WIPO's Top Position: Mr Daren Tang

“Hosted a reception in Geneva to support Singapore’s candidate, Daren Tang, for the position of Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).


Daren has been the Chief Executive of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) since 2015, and has led the transformation of IPOS from an IP registry and regulator into an innovation agency driving growth.


The WIPO Coordination Committee is set to nominate a candidate for the Director General post next month. We are supporting Daren for this nomination. If selected, Daren is poised to serve WIPO well, bringing with him the Singapore spirit of neutrality, bridge-building and a commitment to rules-based multilateralism.”
