Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Heng Swee Keat co-chaired the India Economic Summit in New Delhi, India from 3-4 October 2019, which was organised by the World Economic Forum (WEF). The theme of the Summit was “Innovating for India: Strengthening South Asia, Impacting the World”. DPM also spoke at a session entitled “From Digital Divide to Digital Dividends”, where he shared on Singapore’s Smart Nation initiative, and met with WEF Executive Chairman Klaus Schwab and President Borge Brend to discuss developments in the world.
