“Singapore welcomes the recent announcement of plans for U.S. President Donald Trump and Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong Un to meet in the near future, as well as efforts by all parties to reduce tensions on the Korean Peninsula.  We also note the DPRK’s reported commitment to denuclearisation and pledge to refrain from further nuclear and missile tests.  We hope that this will contribute towards lasting peace and eventual denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula.”
